Comet's PRs

I consider a PR to be when I run a new course or distance for the first time, or when I do a previous distance or course in a faster time. For it to count, it has to be timed, by a third party and the total distance of the race.

I started running in the fall of 2001 and every new race in the Distance Challenge would be a distance PR for me. I got faster the following year, and now I have to train a little harder to get my PRs. However, they still seem to come pretty easy. I had three PRs in the first six weeks of 2004! My pace for each distance is starting to line up like normal, as well. For quite awhile, my 30K PR pace was faster than my 5K PR pace!

I am most proud of my double one-hour PRs. In 2003, I ran the Motorola Marathon over an hour faster than I had run it the previous year. The same year, I also did my Danskin Triathlon over an hour faster than the previous year! A couple more advances like that and I'll be setting world records!
